CAPH Conference and New website

Written by Sarah

Amazing day yesterday meeting lots of new schools and schools where I have already delivered sessions!

Lots of positive feedback ! Also lots of interest in the free dementia friends sessions in schools!

Spreading the word that SRE is so important in schools that it

  • Contributes to health and wellbeing, encouraging individual responsibility for health (ultimately reducing cost to the National Health Service).
  • Contributes to the safety and protection of our children and young people.
  • That it helps  young people develop healthy  positive relationships helping them recognise unhealthy relationships;  helping them recognise bulllying and sexual violence and to know who to report to if they experience unwanted touching  or sexual abuse.

I am a registered Nurse and Midwife and have had extensive experience of delivering PSHE in both Primary and Secondary School settings. I worked for a number of years in Family Planning and Young people’s Sexual Health Services and School Nursing. I am also a chartered Teacher of the PSHE Association.
